We made it to ChaingRai in one piece!! hurray! the bus ride wasn't to bad, only 3 1/2 hours. but i did get sick the night before, so i was up for most of the night before, so i slept for the ride up. When we arrived we were greeted by a very energetic man, Chris, who runs the bording school. We got our luggage and elise and i met w/ the 3 ministry people there. Then we said our goodbyes and went our seperate ways!! We're working at the "house of union" orphanage. it's all hill trib kids too!! The guy who started it 3 years ago is a Thai guy named 'Somechart'. there r 12 kids here, 4 boys and the rest girls from ages 5-13. and somechart's wife, and 6 month old. But we are in the country!! it's beautiful, but such a change from ChaingMai!! Sunday we went to a hill tribe church and did one skit, i played 2 songs and CJ shared his testimony. Saturday was Kids Day in Thailand so on sunday they had 2 boxes of "operation christmas child" presents for the kids!! it was so cool to be on this end of it! Monday we went and met up with elise group working at the family learning center. but this week their working at the YWAM base here painting and fixing some stuff up. it was good to see them. it feels like we've been separated forEVER!! Elise and i just had to meet about some budget stuff and there was some mis-commnication happining w/ my ministry so we figured that all out. Then we met the Bording school group in town for lunch! they have an intense schedule!! 5:45am wake up, 9pm lights out! and they're split up into 2s and sleeping in the dorms with the kids!! 20 of um!! hahahaha it's good for them! so we just hung out in town for awhile then came back. Today we really got started. We did some outside work this morning. CJ helped some bulid a fence with the village people that came to help. and us girls got to work in the garden, or should i say, we just stuffed 400 little bags of manure!! hahahah it was dryed out, but i think they're gonna put the seeds in that and then plant it. felt like home ;-) tonight we're gonna have english class with the kids when they get back from school!!! i'll try and keep you all updated as much as i can!! miss all of you!! we leave for here on the 31st!!
Prayer Request:
~creative ways to teach english and show love to these kids
~wisdom and strength for me, being seperated from elise

~health, b/c it's a little colder up here!
