The holidays here were AWESOME! it was sad to be away once again,to be away, but we made the BEst of it! Christmas morning Elise and i woke up @ 5am! we hung up the stockings, that we got done the night before, on the stair banister. We unpacked all the presents that parents had sent and set them underneath our small Christmas tree along with the secret Santa gifts, and gifts that Elise and i got for the ones that didn't get a present from home. We hung some candy Canes on the tree to add a little something and lighted a ton of candles that smelt like christmas trees! We made the students stay in their room until 9ish. haahahah and then Elise and i made Chocolate chip pancakes and fruit salad. There was hot apple cider and hot coco that we brought from Hawaii. and all of our gingerbread houses, that we made christmas eve, were out on the table. It was so fun to see their faces when they came out because they didn't know we had stockings and some of them didn't know about the gifts from home! After we all finished eating we all sat in the upper living room and passed the scissors around to cut our stockings, Opened those. then Elise and i passed out all the gifts and counted to 3 and started ripping the presents open!! there were loud noises of excitement and surprise! after we all saw what everyone got and guessed who our secret santa was Elise and i had one more surprise... We had wrapped postcards with elephants on them. We had everyone open them @ the same time. No one really understood the idea behind them. one student thought that we wanted her to wright her parents a thank you card for the present. but once they realized that we were going on an elephant ride, they burst into screams!! we got it on video too! they were so loud!! but it was fun to surprise them. After that we all got ready and went to "Alvin and the chipmunks" movie together. @ night some of us went to a Christmas party at one of the churches. There was a church team from Hawaii, different island, there too! and they danced the hula!! so beautiful! it was wonderful to have a little Hawaii in Thailand! we all went to bed kinda late because we were all excited to ride elephants the next day!...
