our DTS director, Katie, and the DTS admin., Julia, are visiting us this week. They got here Saturday and they leave on Thursday to visit the Indo team. It's nice to have them here to bounce ideas off of and have a boost before we leave to ChiangRai on Saturday. They have a list of things to get for people, of course because Thailand is so cheap, so while they went shopping they payed for me and Elise to have a hour massage!! it was so nice to relax for a bit! Yesterday we had the team pray about which ministry they should work with in ChianRai. the 3 ministries we're working with are: A boarding school, Family learning Center, and an orphanage. All 3 groups are living separately, close the the ministry location, if not @ the place. I'm gonna work @ the orphanage with 5 of the students, Meg, Caitline, Emily S., Dayna, and CJ. I'm so excited. We leave on Saturday morning.
Last night we had an unplanned house party. A couple of our Thai friends came over and a couple people from another team. A brother of one of the guys we staff with back at base, is here. And that's the other team we were hanging out with. our whole team plus some! it was pretty loud! It's sad we leave so soon because we've been making some good friends here and we'll have to leave them!But all we can do is pray that we've planted seeds in their life! Last Friday the usual group of us went to WonGen. We ran it on our own b/c Micah, who runs it, is on vacation with his family. And it was the best Friday we've had yet!! a lot of our friends came and we hung out, talked and played games! that was encouraging! and this Friday is our last friday. i think we're having a little good bye party. ok... well hope everyone started the year off good!!
