This Country that i Love...

SO i realized last night that i told you our ministry stuff, but i haven't really told you our living and food and basic things... so Let me inform you :)
We're now right outside of Dinajpur, the city. We're staying at a "church compound". It sounds weird, but all it really is, is a fenced in area consisting of 3living houses, and one church building that is used for a number of group things, and other buildings for the school that they run. There is also a field for games and a merry-go-round and teeter-tot! So they run school here for about 200 kids. so during the day there are kids running around. Some days they have class and some days they don't but they are here everyday except Friday (because it's a muslim country that's the government day off... not sunday) When we're not gone to different villages we're outside hanging out with them, kids anywhere from 4-18 years old. I have 4 girls that i now usally hang out with more. Kids here are so cute! We have been so blessed with an amazing house and living surroundings! the girls live upstairs in 2 rooms and one bathroom w/ a regular toliet and warm running water!! The 2 student boys live in the house right next to us in a room with their own bathroom too! Sam and our translator live downstairs in our house. We have a living room, dining room, and kitchen too! We also have these 2 ladies that cook for us and they are WONDERFUL! they are always smiling no matter what they are doing and our team just loves being around them, so we always force ourself in the kithen to help them :)

Clothing... us girls have to wear certain outfits, but i love them! it's really comfy! i don't know how to explain them, and it's hard to put pictures up now because these computers aren't the best, but maybe in 2 weeks when we change location i can. but it's a longer shirt and then loose like pants and a scarf we wear over our shoulders... i have 3, one of them i call my skittle bag b/c the shirt is bright blue with little sun designs on it and the pants are orange and my scarf is rainbow! i look like a skittle bag :) but it brightens my day

The food is good here! we eat with our hands, which is becoming a good time! we have lots of rice and SPICY curry! we've eatin goat, cow, whole fish, lamb, and chicken... or that's what we're told :) I've been really proud of the team for eating what is given to us! sometimes you've just gotta put a smile on and pray over it and shove it in!

WE go to different villages monday, tuesday and Wed. to teach and do house visits. getting there is always an adventure!! the senary is beautiful though and lots of animals (cows, goats, Waterbuffalo's!!)we ride in a micro, it's like a van... Sometimes though it's better if we ride with our eyes cloths because the roads are so narrow and all the traffic that goes on... WOW! i can't even explain it, but it makes for some good stories!

Christmas is coming up and the students are starting to get sad about their first christmas away from home. Sam and I, once we get back to our house, are gonna start trying to plan special things we can do. we'll see... but once again, i love you all and miss you like crazy!!

Sorry if i haven't e-mailed you because my e-mail isn't working for some reason on these computers!! so sorry mom :) i love you though and i'll keep trying

I just am happy reading your comments on your blog. In my opinion, from what I am reading, this is one of your best outreach teams??? Maybe I shouldn't post that?! Anyway, tell them all that they will never forget this Christmas!!! The are making memories...forever memories!!

Had lunch with Kandy and Kristina at the mexican restaurant down where Jordan took you guys. Mom, Tim and I were buying our tamales for Christmas Eve. We already purchased our Swedish food from Ikea for Eva's.

It is freekin' cold here!! Below zero and a windchill...but, it is beautiful!! I woke up at 5am this morning, put wood in the fire and looked out to see 1/2 moon and the shed light reflecting off the snow on the trees over the gazebo! It was breathtaking!!

Thanks for the updates!

Love you, my daughter!!

Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas Eve!!! You will probably get this after Christmas, but I think about parents of missionaries years ago....they had no contact with their kids!!
Breanna, we count our blessings that you are our daughter!!!
