we made it back to ChiangMai and we're staying in a Great hotel!! we were kinda sad at first because it rained the day before we left for ChiangMai, the day we traveled to, and our first full day here! There was/is a storm in southern China that roled over into Thaialnd. but Saturday and today r nice and sunny. the whole team was down by the pool yesturday and more than one of us got a little burnt. oooppps. and then we went out for a team dinner last night!! AMAZING and so fun to be back with everyone! We leave for Hawaii Tomorrow!! which is a wierd realization.
The point of "de-briefing" is for the students, and leaders, to stop and look back @ the last 2 months. And process through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Also just to prepare them to go back home and bring closer on this time in Thailand. it's been good so far and it's cool to see them really see where they did well, and see what they need to work on.
We have a day layover in Japan that the students don't know about b/c we're gonna surprise them. We're getting a hotel room for the day and leaving the airport. 2 of the girls on the team LOVE japan, and so i can't wait to see their reacion! but i should go now and go do "leader" stuff, as i like to say. ahhaha miss u all and i'll be back to AMERICA on Tuesday
