Today we went up to the Famouse temple in Thailand on top of a Mt.!! and we climbed 300+ stairs!! intese! but the top view was AMAZING, i'll try and get pics soon. but we prayed there and it was so sad!! TONS of statues of Buddah!! it's all fake! and to see these people giving them flowers and candels... sad!! Then we went to CMU (the university accross the street) and hung out @ our booth we set up. It's the final 2 weeks before the "Blindside" concert and we're hard core promoting now! so we had music videos going and handed out flyers and talked w/ people... Tonight we get to go to Mandy's house, a long termer here and a friend of Cary's. We gonna chill out and watch a movie i think!
Monday: Luch @ the CMU. but we split off from eachother to cover more ground passing our flyer and stuff. But Brit and i... kinda got lost!! HAHAHAH but not horribly, but just enough to not know where to go. SO we sat down @ a bench for awhile thinking someone from our team HAS to walk by. But some girls came up and talked to us for their english class and we inveted them to WonGen.!! so that's cool how that worked out!. But we did eventually make it back. hehehe WonGEn open that night! Movie night and hang out time w/ the students that came! "Night At the Museum"
Sunday Mangooo's AMAZING church!! i played another song! and Julia talked!... i love that church!! and...then Mandy, Carey and i went into town and hung out @ a coffee house and read. THen went to walking street that night!
SATURDAY!!!!: Funnist day of my life! our leaders surprised us w/ a Elephant ride and "river rafting"!!! I haven't laugh so hard in one day...!!! Me Cary and Mandy were on one big one, named Denis, or that's what we called it! and it didn't have a driver!! WHAT THE HECK!! so Carey got to ride on the neck/head of it! but don't worry, it was tied, by a little string, to the elephant in front of us, Casey and Justins! but we were like in the middle of the jungle! and @ times i held my breath, hopeing to survive... k little dramatic, but Brittany was Terrifyed the whole time, but @ the end was glad she did it! hahah after that we went to this BEAUTIFUL waterfall! and hung out there and explored. then to the River Rafting. A 2 foot wide bamboo raft. w/ 5 people! HAHAH ohhh and it was lightly raining that day too! so the river was wet and cold but fun. We split up into 2 different groups, the crazy group, including me... and the not so crazy group. all that means is, people who wanted to get wet and have fun, and the people who wanted to enjoy and relax. Little did we know that that would change soon... not longer than 2 minutes down the river we hear screamin girls a couple rafts behind us... our girls! Their driver guy is CRAZY!! and he's screaming "NO WET, NO FUN" so he is splashing them and jumping off the raft leaving them by themselves!! One time he was turned around and a tree was coming and Cary had to jump in b/c it knocked her off... lots of funny stuff! ANd Mangooo, on mine, also fell off!! There was a lot to laugh about that day!
Sooo, Cambodia is looking like a GO!! we're just figuring out the details!! THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS! and i'm feeling a little better, but not 100% yet!! miss you all love you!
