The balls a Rollin'

So we've offically been here a week! WOW! it seems that long @ times, but right now that seems like it flew by! so what have we been up to u ask... let me tell you.
Last Wed: we went to the university across the street, CMU, and ate lunch. this was our first attempt to talk to people, so we were all a little nervouse. But we went there and broke up into groups of 2 and went with our food and sat down @ a table and tryed to make small talk with anyone that would talk back. But Tai's are so shy!! really!! Brittany and i, on our first attempt, got shut down, the girls let us sit down and then they quickly gathered their stuff and got up and left!! that kinda sucked! but we didn't give up. We made another attmept and was succesful! We met 2 girls one of which spoke good English! we invited them to WonGeneration and to the concert that's @ the end of the month. Our time was done and we went back to our house where Mangooo, our translator, set up a scavenger hunt for us around the city! We had to do so much random stuff, it was fun. We had to give a police man a bottle of water and a flower ( i have a pic of it), we had to find this gate that was like on the other side of the city!! then WonGeneration was open that night so we got ready for that when we got back. Sweeping and moping the floor. There was a descent turn out that night, not a lot, but @ least there was some :-) It's still a new thing, so that's why we're really trying to promot WonGeneration, to get the word out. But we played pingpong and hung out with the kids that showed up.
Last Thursday: We were still Jetlegged and with the late night on Wed. we kinda took a re-grouping day.WE had an orintation @ the YWAM Thailand office. then hung out and read and stuff. We had kinda a team bounding night, played some games and ate pizza! And we brainstormed about ideas for the nights WOnGen. is open, like movie night, Game night, descusion ideas...
Last Friday: we went to a different university, R... cant' spell it :-), SOOO MUCH BETTER THEN THE FIRST TIME AROUND! Brittany and i really connect w/ 5 girls! @ first it was way more intemadated beacuse there were twice as many people in the cafeteria. But we walked around a prayed for boldness, confidance and wisdom and i say these 2 girls and just sat down next to them. Then like 3 other girls joined them. And they just happined to all be English Majors!! NICE!! so we made small talk for a while and then i started talking with the girl across from me more indepth! soo cool! we talked about the difference in American and Thai youth... it was good! WE handed out more Flyers for the concert and hung some posters up. Then WonGen was open that night and i had an intense game of "janga", the game were you stack these blocks up and one by one pull one out... It was so fun! we got it so tall, and it was good to be able to interact with the kids that did show up because no words were really needed to laugh!
Saturday: OUr offical day off. Went out to lunch with one of our Thai firnds and that night we went to the Night Bazaar. CRAZY! it reminded me of MExico. but they r less pushy here! so that was fun.
Sunday: SUnday was AMAZING! we went to Mangooo's Church! it was small, Thai and family feel! LOVED IT!! everyone sat in a circle of chairs and then had a couple worship songs, then shared praise reports w/ eachother or prayer request, prayed for people, more worhsip, in THAI!! then it was our teams turn to take over. Julia gave her testimony, but it's cool because everyone just sits down when they talk, so it's less nervs and stuff. Then i played a song, Still, on the guitar! then Justin spoke. !! it was really good. Then we all had lunch after together @ the church! That night we went to Walking Street, only open on Sudnay nights. You can get cheaper stuff. We all got some sweet Thai pants! there cool and good thing beacuse we brought our laundry to the place and can't get it back until TUESDAY!! YIKES!
Monday: We went to a 3rd University, Techno, and passed out a TON of flyers and hung a Billion and one posters up of the concert! then went to lunch with our friend. And WonGen was open that night, Movie night. But no one showed, i think b/c it was raining pretty hard. So we watched Nacho Libre!! and laughed
Today:Had team devotions, like every morning, and then an amazing worship time! we're going to an orphanage tonight. Me, Cary, Brit are w/ the little kids, then the others r w/ the older ones teaching English, then we're gonna come together at the end and Brittany is gonna teach everyone at the end! so

I gotta go now, just wanted to fill you guys in so far, i'll write more later!

*Wisdom on how to connect with people, b/c they're so shy!
*Wisdom in the decision of if we will go to Cambodia...
