Monday, Tuesday and Wednusday all the shops, stores and resturants were closed for this "holiday"/ritual. There are lots of land full w/ sheep and cows. They go there, pick out which one they want. Then Tuesday is the main day to sacrifice them. Muslims belive that they need to make a sacrifice to Allah and even after that, they don't know if they'll go to "heaven". they'll never know! what a hopeless life!ne way... so they Sacrifice the animal, we saw some doing it right on the side of the street!crazy! and then they give most of it to the friends, neighbors, or the poor. Thinking that there good deeds might get them closer to getting to Heaven! SO those 3 days we went to this building and had a 3 day prayer thing. It was Amazing!! we got to finally do worship and we prayed for Turkey the first 2 days and then the 3rd we just waited on God!! But we leave Izmir in a week and 2 days! Chaz, our leader, his birthday is Friday!! so we're going to see a movie and going to McDonalds! Talk w/ you later!
