Fiji Time

Busy Busy Busy!
This is the 2nd week of the DTS School that I’m staffing! We have 5 guys and 5 girl students. Our first week of lecture was on ‘Intimacy with God’. Our speaker, Dale, was from Chico California. During the week he took the school out for pizza, and also took the staff out for coffee talk! It was such a blessing! He really lived out what he was teaching, it was very encouraging! The week before was orientation week with the students. We went over all the basics of the base and the basics of God. I taught one morning on worship, a lifestyle. I was so nervous! But I think I did ok. It’s funny how you learn, or have a deeper understanding on something after you teach it.
Our schedule during the week consists of lecture every day, and ‘life journal’ every morning at 6 am! Life Journal is just bible reading/devotion time. We have a reading schedule, 2 chapters each morning, and then we do the S.O.A.P method (Scripture Observation Application Prayer). For a lot of the students it’s their first time having a quite time, so it’s been really beneficial for them. It’s really cool to see them when God speaks to them through the reading! Their eyes just light up!! After we read and write, we break up into smaller groups of 2 or 3 and read what we’ve gotten. It’s hard for me getting up in the morning, but it’s been so worth it!
Also we have small groups once a week, work projects around the base, worship, intercession for the missionaries in India, dance/drama practice, and local outreach. We’re split into 2 different groups for local outreach: door to door, and kids ministry. I’m part of the kids ministry group. We just had our first one yesterday, and WOW these kids have a lot of energy, but they are so cute! They get done with school around 3, and come to our base around 4 on Fridays. From 4-5:30 pm we sing songs, play games, face paint, color, and tell stories with them. Our main goal is to just love them as much as possible in the hour and a half we have them, so lots of hugs and smiles!!
We have 2 dogs, 3 cats and a pig on our base! But about a month ago we had to get ride of one of our dogs, Sunshine, because it was biting the little kids (they always threw rocks at her). We took her to the vet, to give to a farm, and they had a puppy there that they were giving away. So we picked her up, a trade! Now I have a puppy here! We named her “BB Turner” after some of our friends here. She’s white w/ brown spots over her eyes. She has grown so much in the last month. I’m going to be sad to leave her when I go 
I’ve really been enjoying my time here and can’t believe how fast it’s going!! God is showing me new things, and new ways to hear him. I’m adjusting more and more to the culture, it’s been hard at times, but I really love the people here! They love to laugh and tell stories. Oh, and DANCING!! They love to dance! I’ve even caught the dancing fever a few times. Hahahha
Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts! I’d love to hear from you guys if you have a chance, just fill me in on life, and the journey your on now 
Love you
Breanna
